Pandanus trees that grow along beach front in Coolangatta QLD.
The large, pineapple-like fruit is edible and a staple food in many Pacific cultures. The sweet, fibrous segments are eaten raw, boiled, or baked, with a taste often described as a mix of mango, banana, and pineapple. It is high in beta-carotene.
Notice bush turkeys that roam the streets in that area*

The Wedge-tailed Eagle's wingspan (Australia's largest bird of prey) typically ranges from 1.8 to 2.5 meters (around 6 to 8.2 feet), but can reach an extraordinary maximum of 2.84 meters

I recently read about a certain pink mushroom that only grows under pine or fir trees. Could that be it?
