Photos taken with my iPhone 12 in June 2025

Pandanus trees that grow along beach front in Coolangatta QLD.

The large, pineapple-like fruit is edible and a staple food in many Pacific cultures. The sweet, fibrous segments are eaten raw, boiled, or baked, with a taste often described as a mix of mango, banana, and pineapple. It is high in beta-carotene.

Notice bush turkeys that roam the streets in that area*

Crafted by Melbourne's Brandon Kroon—currently ranked the World Number One Chainsaw Carver—this remarkable artwork was carved from a Redgum tree stump USING only a CHAINSAW …

. The sculpture beautifully captures two native Australian ….birds: the majestic Wedge-Tailed Eagle and the elusive Mallee Fowl….

Due to the clearance of mallee vegetation (the principal habitat of the malleefowl) and predation by foxes, the malleefowl is now endangered

The wedgie as Aussie say …
The Wedge-tailed Eagle's wingspan (Australia's largest bird of prey) typically ranges from 1.8 to 2.5 meters (around 6 to 8.2 feet), but can reach an extraordinary maximum of 2.84 meters
