Ron Howard impressed me with how real he was able to act. What a performer he was/is. Now making movies, he is again able to show off his talents. Barney (Don Knotts, or Jess as Andy called him off camera) was the comedian. Barney could always make me laugh. Great family show back in that era. It was reported that Andy had an off camera affair with Helen. True or not, I don’t know.

I really enjoyed that show and all the Characters especially Ron Howard. I wish there were more shows like this one now.
