Being alone on Christmas Day

Well, look at the bright side. Instead of spending the day with yourself, you could be spending the day with your relatives.
But, mellowyellow has a good idea.
So True. Much of being alone is due to age, infirmity. retirement and relocation. But some of it is due to making the choice to distance ourselves from toxic relatives who do nothing to elevate our spirits. Being alone is preferable to being with superficial people who are gathering just for tradition, show, and to create the illusion they care about and are cared for by the group they have holiday gatherings with.
