Yesterday, all day: The phone connections were OUT, the television was OUT, and the internet was OUT! It was raining and the wind was blowing. It was dark, gloomy, eerie as I was all alone. Did anyone else have all these outages? Did crosswords, boring, not in the mood to sculpt, I wrote poetry. That was satisfying, as I was in a strange, uncommon blue mood. Got out the turntable last night and played :

Unchained Melody Rightous Bros.
Cry Baby Garnet Mimms
The Fool Sanford Clark
Tragedy The Fleetwoods
Softly as I Leave you Matt Monro
My Prayer The Platters
Only You The Platters
When I fall in Love TheLetterman
Cryin' Roy Orbison
Are you lonesome tonight Elvis
Half Heaven- Half Heartache Gene Pitney
Dream Lover Bobby Darin
Hurt Timi Yuro
Running Scared Roy Orbison
Come Softly to Me The Fleetwoods
Sometimes when we touch Dan Hill

All sad songs,I know, but this mood does not befall me often and I decided to wallow in it! Played Unchained Melody twice! Now, If the electricity went out too, I would wonder if the world was ending? A strange day where my dark had come.

Play a country song backwards. The guy gets his well full and his girlfriend back.

Any success? I frequent a politics forum and if this one allowed it there would be lots of enemies made.

I try to figure it out for myself. Modded a political forum years ago that tried to accommodate people of all political stripes and got totally burned out on political forums. And I don't see any value in participating in political forums where everyone holds similar viewpoints. That's as useless as our polarized news.

Oh, you have great taste in your music. Absolutely Great!!

I use a couple of other sites for word games and keeping in touch with friends, utube for music
and google various random things that interest me

I also have FaceTime coffee with my daughter each morning and chat with her for about an hour at night, I’d be lost without it

Where else do you spend your internet day?
Three other senior site forums
Microsoft news, ABC, NBC, NY Times, Washington Post all for news update....also local news sites
Paying bills
Searching photo sites for pics to post on senior sites
Video chats with fam
Making grocery list online for pickup
(word games I play on my phone cuz they're more geared to what I like)

I check my emails,correspond with family&friends
I look at local news&weather, google news Amazon for deals,ck the stock market,Youtube
I use to play online games on my computer, since I have a laptop now don't play anymore

Lately, I've been spending quite a bit of time reading any/all financial reports and opinions, etc. Hopefully, I can find enough information during this awful time for the stock markets so as to make the correct decisions on our investments.

Beyond that, I've just about caught up on TV shows I've missed on the History and Discovery Channels. I'm actually starting to prefer watching these shows on my computer.....far less commercials.

Government site, to keep up with COVID-19 updates. This forum and a couple of others I peek into but rarely post in. Check my bank account, order clothing, Email, Facebook animal stories, YouTube, game sites, and recently catching up on a couple of Canadian series .. Hudson & Rex and Kim's Convenience. I stream a lot of Brit shows too. I follow several Instagram dog owners as well :)

The worst is when the mods take sides.

Facebook, other Forums (3), Bank, Dayly Jigsaw, 2 Libraries, gmail, Hotmail and I check on Twitter for updates on the virus. Most internet is no more than 5-10 min.

Well, this website is a bit like a Chewy Caramel (or a tar baby depending on your point of view) and I will get here and find that it is a bit difficult to leave.
So I have largely neglected: my fitness forum. my car forum, my Vespa forum, my cat forum, my dog forum, and my wrist watch forum. It seems that you folks have proven to be a lot more interesting, and for that I am appreciative.
