The best advice............. is don't give it. I found out that no matter what you advise, it's going to come back and bite you.

See i've been trying to say much the same thing in 5 words. i don't think it always rebounds regrettably--but the kind of advice i'm thinking of usually does.

Do not give unsolicited advice!

Had been thinking about this since yesterday but only in 4 words, Irwin's remark about contractions counting as 1 word made the light bulb come on: Change Don't to 'do not'.

Fuzzybuddy right, even requested advice can be problematic, and i word responses to such requests carefully.
