The event was on the Houston news with the promoter interviewed. He said he has another has a second Bigfoot but is not ready to show it publicly. The fellow is quite a promoter with a lot of talk and a few vague details. Basically he was inviting all to come waste their money and view whatever they think it is. Apparently there was a 'good' turnout as there was a day or two earlier in San Antonio. I think he intends to take his roadshow to Europe.

Anyone remember the Cardiff Giant?
I remember reading about that hoax many years ago.
Even though there is a good chance that this is also a hoax of some kind; if he comes to Huntsville, and the cost is not outrageous, I would love to go and look, and see what he has.
I have been reading about this procalimed Bigfoot, and that he was supposed to be taking it on a tour. Unless it is pretty realistically done (or actually real ?), the tour will probably get bad reports, and fold before he gets very far here in America, let alone makes it to Europe.

Some of the reports do seem to think that he actually does have something unusual, and what a find that would be...... to find that we actually still have neanderthals inhabiting the remote mountains !

I'm just thinking of what I would do if I somehow discovered a Bigfoot - I certainly wouldn't try to kill him, but if perchance I came across a dead one the first thing I would do would be to call up someplace like the American Museum of Natural History in NYC or the Smithsonian and tell them what I had.

I wouldn't pull a P.T. Barnum - that's just not my nature, and it seems too much like when they used to charge a nickel to see a dead gunfighter displayed in his propped-up coffin in the Old West, or that recent traveling exhibit with partially-dissected human bodies preserved in clear plastic.

It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth and isn't in the least entertaining to me.

Sifu, you are right about calling for experts to come and look, and not just use such a wonderful find as a money-making exhibition.
Nor would I try to kill one if I did find it, unless it was life-threatening; but I would be taking pictures if I could. The problem that I see with that, is that there are already a lot of pictures, some of which DO look very real; but no one can have positive proof of a living neanderthal just from a picture.
It will take an actual body, either of a dead one found, or by someone who does actually shoot one; so it can be studied.

I am pretty sure that this is just a hoax, and the person that is promoting the supposed Bigfoot, is also known for an earlier Bigfoot hoax.
However, I think it would be amazing if one were actually discovered and could be proven to be real. The stories of Neanderthal developing along side of Homo Sapiens are very intriguing, and the possibility of more agressive early humans driving the Neanderthal into seclusion, could well have become the result, leaving us with not one, but two humanoid species here on earth.
A discovery of this nature could completely re-write our world history.
