Big or small, did you ever win or find any money?

We've won $100.00 twice and $50.00 four times in the lotto but I'm sure our investment over the years was probably several times more.

I see change on the ground here and there frequently but unless it's 'heads up' I won't touch it......I've walked away from $.50 pieces, a couple $1.00 coins and many smaller denomination coins that weren't 'heads up'.

'Tails up' is beau coup bad luck......let it lie where it is.

Atlantic City in the 80's. Walked away with $100 more than I arrived with.
Lottery UK and Euro millions. Won ÂŁ10 many times. ÂŁ55 once.

About 12 years ago my daughter and I were going for a walk on the street she lived on and found a tiny, worn, leather change purse. It had $385 in it so she took it to the Burbank police station and they told her in 30 days (or was it 60?) if no one claimed it they'd call her. We thought for sure someone would claim it but they didn't. She and I split the $. We still wish the owner had came forward though. What if it was someone's rent or $ they were going to buy food with?

One day my husband found a 10 dollar bill floating on a mud puddle, which was odd that it hadn't sunk and gotten all wet. He also picks up all change he finds and makes quite a bit that way. Unlike Ike, he'll pick up any coin. And besides that his eyes probably aren't good enough to tell if it's heads or tails without picking it up.

I've won the lottery 4 times in the past two weeks, but let me quickly add, each time it was only for $10.00.

Found money many times $10, $20 or mixed bills. Good place to find cash is in supermarket parking lots or on busy shopping sidewalks, especially around holidays. But not many wins.

I played a "Jurassic Jackpot" slot machine (25cent) in Vegas once that just kept giving me small amounts until I decided to quit. Turned my quarters in and it was well over $200.00. I carried that money in my wallet for over two years because I wanted to buy something with it I would normally not spend money on. I ended up buying a little 4 tier shelf in an antique store with it. I have and enjoy it still.

When I was a kid I was at the beach with my two brothers. My one brother is 11 years older than me. We found several dollars washing up. I remember one was a ten dollar bill which my brother said would help with groceries and my other brother and I kept the one's that washed up. Wonder where they came from.

Oh and when I worked in a nursing home laundry, I was cleaning out the dryer lint screen. In the lint was a tightly folded bill in a triangle shape. When I opened it, it was a $50.00 dollar bill. That was a lot of money to me at the time. I turned it in to the charge nurse. I imagine someone stashed in it their clothing, forgetting and then the poor soul and their clothes came to the nursing home.
