As soon as the administrator sees this thread, it's also going to be deleted. Threads of this nature are frowned upon.

Often, people stop posting, and others wonder if something happened to them, so they ask about them in the open forum. Most of those threads are deleted, especially if the word "banned" is used when asking about them. When threads are deleted because someone asks about a member or members they haven't seen for a while, we're still left wondering what happened to them. Sometimes people announce they're leaving the forum, even without an explanation of why, at least that lets us know that they're gone by their own choice.

Whatever the case, it's unkind and completely unnecessary to make nasty comments, either way, to anyone.

I had no idea NorthernLight has left. :( I'm sorry to learn this; she was really sweet.
 

Unfortunately, if seems that on another thread over the past 24 hours or so, some have openly encouraged Ruthanne to use the dreaded ‘Ignore’ button. If I understand correctly she has already recently put you on ‘Ignore’. Or At least that is how I interpreted it at first from one of her posts? But even that's not entirley clear.

@Magna-Carta, yes I saw that one as well. It was hours before her goodbye. I did not reply to that message, I don't know why that happened there either. One, it is fine if she wants to ignore me, I do not have anyone on ignore, I am just not going to do that. Two. I did not do anything that should have upset her at all. It is all just a mystery to me.

I have made two mistakes in the past that have hurt peoples feelings. I took full responsibility and sincerely apologized. That is when I learned not to post if I am not in a good place. No one should want to directly hurt another.

Oh no! I missed NorthernLight's farewell. I quite liked her posts and hope things go well for her.

Not all threads about people leaving have been deleted. Some get closed after a while - after many pages and meandering conversations, in some cases.

For the record, this forum is owned and moderated by @Matrix. Our threads and presence are invited to come here and post at his pleasure.

I didn't see Northern Light's goodbye... that makes me sad, it really does. :cry: As for *this* thread, if it's closed, I'm thinking it would be about one member calling another a "liar" directly and in a public forum, and not because someone said they're leaving. First time I've seen something like that happen here.

I've seen worse. Sometimes the person who has shot off their mouth thinks better of it and quickly edits or deletes the offensive post. They might delete it from the forum, but they can't delete it from my memory.

Yes I saw that. Thought it was nice of her. Didn't realise it had been deleted though.
 
No gathering is perfect we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God - but he/she is a forgiving God so ..........??? let's keep goin??

could you link the post or thread? I can't find it on search. I would like to read it. I had a question for her concerning a mundane issue. I like her very much.
