Blue Angels

I'm watching our local Saturday morning news, and they just reported that we now have a woman pilot joining the famous Blue Angels. This young woman must have wanted this for a long time, and I bet she had to overcome many obstacles to get to her current position.

This made me wonder what kind of barriers our young men might be trying to overcome. What have any of you noticed about barriers that are coming down between the sexes?

Not much to report in OZ. Ours is one of the most gendered workforces in the developed world.

We've had female Red Arrows for some time.

I remember being surprised when I saw what seemed to be a nine year old girl thundering a huge fire engine through city traffic!

However, the one I remember most is the first time I saw final custody of a nuke handed to a female "combat ready" Tornado pilot.

And we just had out first female NFL referee.

LOVE watching the Blue Angels fly! They've been here for airshows several times. I just go up on my roof and watch them.
