A Texas man pleaded guilty in court Thursday of licking a pint of Blue Bell ice cream in a viral video stunt before returning it to its shelf at a Walmart in Port Arthur, but he's asking for a lighter punishment.

With saliva-borne diseases out there, this was a serious offense and not a lark. Ice cream tends not to have overly-tamper resistant packages either, although tampering is usually visible. How sad that some people choose to celebrate and publicize their grossness and bad taste!
