For me it's sourdough English crumpets with raspberry jam! OMG, so good!

Macaroni ,ground beef with tomato soup poured on top as the sauce. Sliced cheese and pickles on white bread. Homemade Rice Krispy treats.

I still have those quite often.. never really stopped having them

I also occasionally like to have egg in a cup... do you remember that ?.. mashed boiled egg with butter just eaten from a cup..?

My Mom always made on a Monday night a soup that was called The wedding soup. It was delicious except for the Lima beans she added to it.I hated lima beans so when my Mom wasn't looking my older sister would sneak them out of my Bowl. I still make the soup, but never with Lima beans.

"Cowboy Supper" is what I used to call it when I made my kids pork'n'beans with sliced hot dogs stirred in. They made it for their kids and still called it Cowboy Supper.

My mom made that too! She didn't put in Lima beans, though. She put in garbanzo beans sometimes, otherwise, no kind of beans.

Yesterday for lunch I oven baked potato fritters and then just poured a beaten egg over the top of them when they were ready, instant potato omelette..lol

Ranchero Stew. Beef stew, but instead of having potatoes in it, you put it over wide egg noodles.

I still enjoy the day before payday meals that I grew up with.

One of my breakfast favorites is leftover white rice warmed and served with brown sugar or pancake syrup and a splash of milk or a pat of butter.
