Boris Johnson has Covid-19

Not only our Prince of the realm , but now our leader Prime minister Boris Johnson have been diagnosed with the early stages of Coronavirus - Covid-19 .

They are both self isolating. ...and perhaps now, Johnson will take this a little more seriously and put police on our streets to enforce restrictions , and ban people gathering on beaches as they have done on the continent , enforce the rule that people can only shop for essential supplies, and not be going out and about like it's a special extra holiday they've been given , and ensure that all medical supplies are given to the hospital who desperately need them

Our Prime Ministers wife was infected. Our Canadian Prime Minister is isolating. My family lives in the U.S.
In my opinion not taking it seriously enough in the U.S.

My husbands business partner, has just called to say his father who has dementia has just been diagnosed with Covid-19... he's in his 70's there's no way they have the resources to keep him alive ...

yes it would but I'm sure he will be paying for his own treatment and not relying on the NHS... but he would be more than entitled to if he wished to, as did prince Charles who was tested on the National health service, much to the chagrin of many people, particualrly on behalf of medical staff who can't be tested through lack of testing kits, but it was explained that not only is Prince Chharles our future king but he has the potential to pass any visrus to many hundreds of thousands of people in the course of his daily work.. so it was imperitive someone like him should have the test, and of course Boris is our leader, and as has been said, he also has a new baby on the way with a pregnant partner..

it's ok Pepper, I agree it was absolutely inappropriate but many of us are responding and reacting to things in a different way to how we might in normal times.. it could be any amount of reasons, nervous, anxious.. scared... we're all living in scary times right now..

We are all scared, at the moment. Unfortunately, anyone with a computer can provoke even more unfounded fear. You have to keep in mind that the virus is extremely survivable. Those, who are in greatest danger, are those over 70, with four or more major medical conditions. The measures, we are taking ,are to prevent the spread of the virus to those weakened people.

They certainly can, it caused a lot of controversy that he had it carried out by the NHS... but it was, and there's nothing that can be done now to change it ..

hopefully they will all be among the large group of people who recover - we are all focused on the people who die, but a large number have recovered, so I'm hoping for the best for all of our countries and people.

That is good, because it seems that the virus is mutating and infecting younger people, not just the seniors. I feel so sorry for the health care workers, they are our heroes during this epidemic. Many of them are dying, what with the exhaustion and being ground zero with being exposed to infected people.
