Bought a cop a meal.

Mama and I went out for supper last night to a Vietnamese / Chinese restaurant we like......had roast duck, shrimp fried rice, stir fried green beans and ice tea.....Good Stuff !

Anyway, a really young looking cop came in, wearing his uniform, with his lady friend and placed their order. I got up and followed the waitress and told her to add their meal to my tab.

On the way back to our table I stopped and told the couple that I had just picked up their tab and said, "thanks for being a cop".......he stood up smiling and shook my hand and thanked me.

What really kinda got me was the look on his gals face, she was beaming from ear to ear and was looking back and forth between him and me and you could tell she was really very proud of him.

That was awesome, enjoyed reading your post. My old job before retiring required dealing with traffic on a day to day basis. When we had an officer/patrol car in our work zone, the traffic was always very nice and drove slow. Police officers would also stay with a road hazard (like a fallen tree in the road) till we got there, and even help us clean up the mess. This might sound nuts but I always thought of them kind of like having Guardian Angles with us when we did roadwork. That was a real good thing you did. :encouragement:

There are so many good and very dedicated police, that was such a kind thing to do. I think that with so many bad things going on right now, morale has to be affected in some ways. How can it not? Good for you Ike.

Bless you! For all the bad apples who make the news there are a hundred more good cops. They put their life on the line for us every day, a good meal is the least we can do:D:D:D

Very nice of you Ike, the good cops who do their jobs deserve a thank you sometimes, especially in this day and age.

Ther are these 2 policemen that go into the Starbucks that I go to . That is such an awesome idea an the next time, even tho their coffee is pricy, I' will do the same.
Thanks for the idea an it's time to pay it forward..

Thank you, Ike! That good deed has a tremendous ripple effect. You made many people feel good for the price of two meals.

The cop and his wife.

Surely the server.

The cop, his wife, and the server probably told some co-workers.

Me.

I have done the same for veterans. It's a good feeling all around.
