I needed one steak to make beef & snow peas today and got a pleasant surprise. Six of the steaks were marked down about 75% while the remainder of them were marked down about 20%. I was about to notify the butchers but thought better of it. I think I'll go back tomorrow to see if they did it twice!

Did you buy all six? Might as well, things like that don't happen often. I wouldn't feel bad, a few times I got charged twice at the cashier. I only found out when I got home, no sense complaining, I could not prove I only received one item. Things like this makes things even in the long run.

Sometimes the meat is marked down in my store. They call it managers special because it is the last day it can be sold. I grab them up when I see them. I cook it up once I get home and freeze what I can't eat.

Me too. If I am not going to use it in a day or two, I freeze it. Often, I have looked for the marked down meats when I am making chili or soup. And I am due to make a pot of chili soon. Only have one left in my freezer.
