I'm too dumb to really understand this. imp

There is a mounting concern on the part of some that a worldwide depression may be coming...

Well, I worry more about getting the food on sale today before supplies run out, as I am warned in the store's flyer, than any of the aforementioned, :eek:nthego:including climate change...

The entire global economy is on shaky ground. The global corporations have been using their "stooges" in governments....all over the globe...to artificially prop up their financial standing, and these governments are being stressed to their limits. Consumers are increasingly having to pull back on their discretionary spending, due to stagnant wages, and concentrate more and more on just the necessities. About the Only signs of real growth are in things like cell phone purchase and usage...when this segment of the markets begins to contract, it will be time to start worrying.

Brazil wants tourist dollars

Brazil waives tourist visa requirements to make it easier for US, Canadian, Japanese and Australian citizens to come and spend money on their depressed economy. Can stay 90 days without a visa from June til mid September.

Sounds good on the surface but the security officials must be going nuts.

One must wonder if there is very poor advanced interest/bookings in the hotels and games . Brazil must also realize the Olympics are becoming passee in many circles. That along with being a very expensive endeavor.
