British and US air-strikes hit targets in Yemen

Way back in '88, before the turn of the century, ;) we flew a private jet into Yellowstone to replace a crew on a fire engine so I'm familiar w the concept Jim is touting. Of course for the next 3 weeks we let it run 24 hours a day, even though we were only working 16hrs/day a day because it wasn't in good condition and every time we shut it off we couldn't get it to start again. It was used continuously and lacked it's normal and regular maintenance. And we couldn't fix it in the field. And that was just a simple fire engine. hmmmmm

Like Israel, I try to stay out of it. While all this is going on, everyone is ignoring China. That, for me, is where the greatest dangers lie.

I read about it yesterday...I didn't know quite what to think of it, because we're constantly being fed propaganda... so I kinda ignored it..
Your country has been indispensable in this conflict. Britain is not only committed to the support and defense of US ships, it will not tolerate anyone messing with the movement of cargo ships through the Suez Canal.

Like the US, Britain is totally committed to protecting the goods and especially the food and medical supplies being shipped through there, some of which goes to people who will die without it.

We're an extremely loyal country....we know who our friends are...

China is a danger to Taiwan and the China Sea, which the CCP has sadly already damaged beyond recovery....the sea, that is.

(IMO) The only danger to the US is that our political leaders and decision-makers don't understand the CCP at all. They don't understand the CCPs thinking and their politics, so there's no way they can accurately predict what China will do.

Also, the US administration has a chronic bad habit of dismissing advice from even its most astute and well-intentioned Chinese advisors.

China and Iran seem to taken the place of the old Soviet Union supplying and training participants/their proxies. It's like enabling a junky. Give radicals weapons and opportunity to strike on a country/culture they could never do on their own they will jump on that.

"Give radicals weapons " to strike a U.S. enemy ? Like supplying weapons to the war lords of the Taliban to fight the Soviets when they invaded Afghanistan in the 1980's ? JimB.

Fortunately, their military weapons are not as plentiful nor as capable as those of the US, Britain, Canada, Germany....

Like the first Cold War with Russia ie Soviet Union were proxy wars. Starting with Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan and several south American countries. Although China was farely significant player in the Korean War, probably more than Russia

The problem is there is little follow up. The Soviets left Afghanistan and missed a window of oppurtunity to send more aid and create greater economic ties. When a super power leaves many of these nations get stuck in time it seems. Lost people in Somalia, left now a big source of pirates.

Well, if they're stupid enough to go for it, why not? ...poor Houthis.

So let's find out what "sticks to the wall" (if anything), right?

You don't chuck a spear at US or British naval ships and expect a "proportional" response.
