I used to buy this buffered aspirin all the time at Walgreens. It was really good since regular aspirin gives me upset stomach. I tried to buy some a couple of weeks ago and nada. They told me they do not carry it anymore. I can't find buffered aspirin anywhere except online and there are no deals or discounts plus I have to pay for shipping etc. Does anyone know where to buy buffered aspirin in a brick and mortar store these days? I'd be grateful to know.

@chic I went to the Bufferin site and it said Walmart and Walgreens. They also sell online and it says free shipping-

Thanks Radish, but whatever they say online, Walgreens doesn't carry it IN STORE. I have found the ocassional bottle of Bufferin at a Stop & Shop store I sometimes go too but they don't always have it. Ebay has some available, but I'd like to just grab it at the store. There is no Walmart close to where I live so I've never been there and don't know what they carry.

Get it online with free shipping

Try ordering online with Walmart. I buy trash bags, etc along with over the counter items with free shipping. I hate going to Walmart but we gave a great one in Friendswood and I go once a month. It is large with great customer service and a McDonalds if I want a good cup of coffee on my way home.

I buy all my dye free ibuprofen on ebay. Make sure I take the tab on food in my stomach. I get good deals for my joint issues on ebay, free shipping.

I don't take ibuprofen or acetaminophen because both can have a negative impact on the liver. I guess I'll have to buy online and plan in advance. It's so much nicer to just go to a store and buy what you need and come home with it.

Nobody sells it anymore. Now they're saying it's dangerous. It kills pain and helps you to sleep but even Bufferin's website will no longer sell it. I don't know what to use to control life's minor dings and knocks now. It's tinfoil hat time again.:oops:

Paracetamol ?.. Aspirin is really harsh on people's stomach's an can and does cause bleeding.. ... paracetamol is kinder as long as you keep within the directed limits... or else it damages the liver..

Aspirin (and ibuprofen) is deadly to mammals and definitely dangerous.
Just 2 or 3 pills can kill a cat or small dog, and has likewise killed humans many times.

Fresh ginger root is a much better and safer alternative.
Ginger has never helped me to sleep though. Bufferin does that. Everything is deadly when you get right down to it. It's all gonna kill you, so you need to consider your experiences and make your own decisions. I'm more worried about blowing out my liver with acetaminophen like products which never did a thing for me. That's why I say it's tinfoil hat time. Why do they want us all sick and unable to use proven products for over 75 years?

Aspirin (an NSAID) is still sold. What was wrong with Bufferin?
How was aspirin "buffered", anyway?

Tylenol (acetaminophen / paracetamol) does damage the liver when too much is taken. I had a problem with places that sold "extra strength" Tylenol at 500 mg almost exclusively. I use ONE tab of regular at 325 mg and it works well.

Hope you can find something, Chic.

Thank you @RadishRose. At least I have a time to look into more substitutes.

It's on amazon. I saw Walmart too.

I use Motrin. Motrin is mostly Ibuprophen, and it works well on my pain.

None of it's "good for you" - Tylenol is bad for your liver and ibuprophen is bad for your kidneys, but ONLY if you take a ton of it OR if you already have a slow liver and sick kidneys.

I take 1800 to 2400mg ibuprophen/Motrin a day. No problems from it.

Would a person be able to take the dose of aspirin and also take an antacid at the same time for a similar effect? Ask a pharmacist.
