By what name did you call your grandparents ??

Gramma and granpa (forget D's) on my fathers side. My mothers father died before she was born in the first world war, her mother died when my mother was 6 months old in the pandemic of 1918. It is a whacky story and I got lucky and was born in California.
Most likely, although I thought I was saying grandma & grandpa, it was coming out without much of a D.

My dad's parents both died before I could know them... my grandma just two weeks after I was born, and my grandpa when I was 2. My mom's parents were Mem and Pawpaw when I was little, but when the new generation started being born, he became Pappy when the new gen started calling my dad Pawpaw.

My maternal grandmother was polish she was called busha by my oldest sister that remembers her.

Both of my father's parents died before I was born. They both smoked and died young, as did my dad, he smoked also! But that's another topic...

My grandmother was called 'granny' and my grandfather was called 'grandad'...I was close to both of them, and they were wonderful! I still miss them both...
