Paternal grandparents: Grandpa had died in 1956, never met him but was told it was Grandpa. Nicknamed paternal grandmother, Grandma Snow (she loved it).
Out of her many grand and great-grandchildren, I was the only one who visited her for two whole years. We had lunch together at her OAP ministudio. She apparently told her daughter (my aunt) how it made those two years special. Sadly, I wasn't told where she'd moved to. She gave me my nickname: White Feather.
Maternal grandparents: only could speak to Grandpa. She hated children, so didn't speak much to her and she disliked kisses. If we forgot and gave her one on the cheek, we'd hear this word in parting: Judas...
