Prosecutors in the Philippines are calling for the death penalty as punishment for a man said to be the ‘world’s worst paedophile’.


Peter Scully, a 53-year-old father-of-two, is accused of carrying out sexual abuse and torture on young children and filming it before selling it to other paedophiles around the world.


He appeared in a Philippine court on Tuesday charged with the first six of 75 charges.

In court for 6 of 75 charges. Oh Wonderful. he won't be executed he'll be in court the rest of his life. That could be an endless heck for him.

My feelings are that he should be incarcerated among the general population in either jail or prison for the duration of this lengthy procedure
 

True justice would have this man chained in a room with survivors such as myself. Oooooh, the games we could play, for days and days and days.....if he didn't break first. Lol. Sadly, there are others out there far worse--just protected by money/connections.
 
Just put him in the general prison population, and let the other inmates know what he did. He will soon find himself being beaten up at every opportunity....until one day they give him his "death sentence".
 
Have him dig his own grave, give him 1,000 lashes with a cat'o nine tails, then shove him into

the hole alive and let his victim's families shovel the dirt on the bastard.

Oh, and don't forget to video the whole scene so other pedophiles can see it.
 
The inmates would outright kill him the moment they discover his crime. We just had an inmate have his throat slashed, when someone looked him up on Megan's law. He survived, is now in protective custody.

I thought the guy was American and would be coming back here. That's what happens when you don't read closely. I don't think jail in the Philippines will be a barrel of laughs either. Can't imagine they squander much on inmates in that country being as most of the people are hard pressed for their daily necessities.
 
He will probably be executed for his crimes.

I am against the death penalty but if Australians go overseas and commit crimes for which the local penalty is death, then so be it. Local laws and the penalties are what prevails. Even if it means hanging, a firing squad or beheading.

All I ask is that they get a fair trial but again, that is the risk they take.

Yes. One should be aware of the laws of the land, but I'm going to say that I have no pity for serial rapers and killers of children & wealthy perverts from all over the globe go to impoverished places to victimize poor children. I hope they don't execute him . This is a picture of an overcrowded prison there.

I'd help you Shali. This man makes me want to barf. I'd like to slowly remove his testicles with a razor blade...
 
There have been so many children scarred physically, mentally, and emotionally by these kind of warped beings, that it will take a couple of centuries to even try to irradiate this kind behavior from society. I've been told that cannibalism was a quite normal behavior in our evolution, but somehow we did overcome this once accepted practice.

Somehow we have to figure out how to take away whatever payoff these perverts get out of their actions. Good and evil both have payoffs. Generally we praise the good, but we have a tendency hide our head in the sand when it comes believing humans, (our siblings, parents, people we even love), can even think of such perversions.

I have always wondered what would happen if we could just find an island, place all perverts there, and see how they would deal with themselves. Let them turn on each other, and dispense with themselves. Let them judge their own punishment. Let them take out their evilness on each other. You ever seen a pack of wild dogs turn on each other?

I do believe bringing child, (or for that matter any kind of), perversion out into the open has helped. I don't think people really realized just how prevalent this issue was in our past history, until the media brought it out. At the same time though, the media is feeding into the payoffs that these deviants are looking for. If they must sell sensationalism, then let them report on how the perverts dealt with each other in a pervert only prison. :hit::hit:
 
This one is too close for me to give an adequate response. While my brother was not a pedophile, he did murder people. If he was your brother, father, mother, grand parent, you would have mixed feeling.
 
I have mixed feelings about the death penalty in most cases. BUT, there are some that seem to me to deserve it, particularly those who actually kill for the entertainment factor, who torture and enjoy the sufferings of their victims.
 
Regardless of the horror re the depths of depravity to which some sink, no, because of it, the death penalty is not an option for me. My humanity must stand firm. Their barbarism cannot become mine, no matter the temptation/cost.
 
I have to agree with Shali.

The man who cruelly murdered seven young backpackers and dumped their bodies in the Belanglo Forest NSW is rotting in gaol where he will stay for the term of his natural life. I am satisfied with this sentence.
