I doubt it has much to do with dialects, more probably just misspelling. Reading and writing skills aren't emphasized at many schools these days, and misspellings are very common. Even the NYTimes and WashPost have had errors creep into their articles.
I read a lot of self-published fanfiction, and VERY FEW authors even bother using a grammar software or asking someone to edit their story before putting it out for people to buy/read.
Getting back to the OP, I'm surprised this was listed as an entree. Out here it's a starter, being just a reworking of the classic egg roll. Interesting that they would list it with the main dishes!
