Diners were amazing as you could get a seriously big cheese burger , still plenty in NY but yes not like 10 years ago .We still have a few here in coastal Mississippi. But the corporate joints have taken over. OTOH Waffle House is not terrible, and there's one every mile or two around here...
I suspect that there are still some around in the northeastern U.S. too. Diners were big in NY state.
Seems to me I washed my hands in a few of those.
Lol you might have but they were for something else , I never used them due to the humiliation I would incur .Seems to me I washed my hands in a few of those.
I've never seen one of those before, something to wash the feet in?Lol you might have but they were for something else , I never used them due to the humiliation I would incur .
We had one of these in grade school with soap dispensers. I can still almost remember that smell of the institutional soap.
I didn't start listening to radio drams until the early '50s, when the medium was wearing down. But I do remember "Inner Sanctum", "The Lone Ranger", "Fibber McGee & Molly", and a few others.I also remember all the great radio programs of the past: "The Shadow," "Inner Sanctum," "Superman," etc. You can still listen to some of those great oldies here:

Me too.Seems to me I washed my hands in a few of those.
@ImogeneWe had those central wash-your-hand-things at Packard Electric, which was the GM wiring division I worked for in the late 60’s-early 70’s. Put your foot on the pedal stand there and enjoy a communal hand washing, plus gossip fest after coming out of the rest room.
I thought they were slick, they were kept spotless, always had soap in the dispenser, and there was no excuse for anyone to not wash their hands![]()
For washing hands.
