Canned ham

I bought a canned ham. I remembered how we used to have our ham. It's an export from Denmark. They are a huge pork exporter.


Our ham even the big ones was always studded with whole cloves and then basted while cooking with brown sugar mixed with water. Lots of spices added like garlic salt and a bit of cayenne pepper.


So I had it with cooked onions and scrambled eggs.


I used pizza for toast.


Simple and easy to make.

I haven't had Canned Ham in years, our supermarket canned ham is mostly imported from Denmark too...

I wouldn't cook it though, I'd just slice it up cold straight from the can..

We used to buy little Danish canned hams and Danish canned bacon as a loss leader in the large drug stores, I haven't seen them in years.

Great to take camping or to keep on the emergency shelf.

Your breakfast looks yummy, Camper. I haven't bought a canned ham in years, but as I remember they were quite tasty. Since there are just the two of us to cook for now, I usually buy a ham slice or smoked pork chops to limit the leftovers.
