Can't We All Just Get Along? Even ex-Nazi's Can Change.

I like to collect stories of remarkable people and I think in this one, we have two, who used to be enemies and who've today moved to the centre together.

That aging Nazi guard who is on trial, 93 year old Oskar Groening and Holocaust survivor Eva Kor moved to a place of forgiveness together today as he kissed and embraced her after having admitted his own moral guilt in what happened so long ago!

Such a gracious lady and so good to see that some people can with the passage of time, come to understand the horror of their own behaviour and then change. Apparently Mr. Groening has previously spoken publicly about what he did as a Nazi because he believed that the Holocaust deniers need to be silenced and the truth admitted by all (so that it doesn't happen again).

Yes, I read about this on Saturday in The Times, it was a moving story of a very brave and interesting lady. She refuses to be a victim all her life, and by forgiving the Nazi's, all of them, that have affected her own life, she has been able to move on.

Yes, even the act of forgiveness can be a hard thing to do so she is exceptional.
