If those misguided morons had their way, we'd have to replace the Statue of Liberty with the Statue of Authority.
It will be interesting to see how America ends up after ALL our actual events are edited out of our knowledge.
Ignoring history (or misquoting it) seems to be the direction that some feel is a good thing.

I have no memory at all of that car, so I used my googlizer to find pictures. I don't see anything related to the Confederate flag on them. What am I missing??

Man, is it ever tiring to see people regurgitating the NAZIS every time they think they are providing a counterpoint to any topic of patriotism.

If you mean Southern Heritage to be honoring the valor and courage of the Confederate soldiers in the Civil War, then a Confederate, bars & stars flag is acceptable. If you mean Southern Heritage as the war to preserve slavery, and the flag to be the symbol of reprehensible racism, and terror; then the flag is unacceptable. I believe historians are correct in calling the Civil War, the War of the Rebellion.

I am sorry if I offended you, but what do you say about extremist claiming jewish destruction & genocide never occurred except through Nazi propaganda.
The Nazi regime impressed upon German citizens and soldiers that the Jews were subhuman and dangerous enemies of the German Reich thus eliciting support for the removal of Jewish citizens permanently from German settlements.
is that not similar to white America and religious puritans to change people into their image and so called values. Native Americans are still paying the price for the color of their skin. American Americans equally have been treated and looked upon as subhuman because they are not white.
Who decided White was best when there are so many different shapes and colors to choose from?
I am grateful for the color of my skin because I am white and privileges are bestowed upon those who are pleasing to the eyes. Not to say white is any less appealing than people of color, but why White? Why not other skin tones? Is this concept primarily based on location and the majority population?
Let‘s mix things up by giving social privileges to all races and cultures based on merit, not through propaganda and lies?

You didn't offend me. I was simply pointing out that SOME US History is disgraceful to many people today, BUT it SHOULD be taught to your young people so they will be fully educated about the negative aspects of your country's history. My point was that they were Americans, living in the USA, who supported Hitler, and didn't hide the fact. Lets remember that the famous Colonel Charles Lindberg visited Hitler in person on a number of occasions , and he was a out spoken advocate of the policies of the Nazis.

I certainly don't push the good things about American history as it is a disgrace to me the ways my ancestors conducted business by shady tactics. I'm not proud to be an American but here I am and I have live with myself regardless my skin color or ethnic background. Don't get me wrong life sux and to see life as a positive and good thing is an outright lie.
We are conditioned to celebrate life despite the consequences but when you think about it isn't that just brainwashing material to instill hope upon a hopeless endeavor for survival?

I am a cynic I don't endorse hope as hope is merely a bandaid to move from one crisis to another. So much hate exists based on our differences, that we fail to recognize the beauty and worth of human condition and give credit where credit is due to anyone who earns it.

I have nothing against humanity I just don't see the point of our existence.

I'm not fine with it. There are a lot of things to not be proud of in our country's past. I just think history needs to be accurate, so we can recognize and prevent events (like your example) from being repeated.
We can't change history, but we can change the future.

Yes. This is the kind of history we need to preserve. It needs to be held as a mirror. I don't know if you have ever done this but I have. Who would I have been in another time and place? Would I have been a perpetrator, a bystander or would I have been brave? And the answer to that isn't really known. I can only hope who I would have been.
