Car prices not on dealership Web page

The local O'Reilly's one doesn't. They have the whole axle assembly. The other garages I contacted said that the boot comes with the axle. Seems overkill when I only need the boot.
Did you ask them to just order a boot in for you? Any parts store can do that. You can even print the page from the link I provided you and take it into the store with you and show them just a boot is available.

Think prices are high now?

Just wait
It's hard to know what to do, so I don't do anything.

With the chip shortage, new fuel efficiency standards for 2026, and the push towards electric cars I think we're in for some scary new car prices in the next five years.

At this point, it's still a better value for me to keep having repairs done than it is to buy a new vehicle.

That's my feelings, too. We did some running around today, and passed at least a half dozen car dealerships. They Only vehicles they seemed to have plenty of were full size pickups. Small sedans and compact SUV's appeared to be very few. With these ridiculous gas prices, I imagine that anyone buying one of these smaller vehicles is paying a Premium price.
