Cash In or Gamble

If you received credit, say $10 or $15 to play the slot machines at a casino, would you gamble and try to win more, or just cash it in for sure money?
Normally free slot play can't be cashed in. Playing it and hitting something that exceeds the $10 or $15 can be taken. Incentive to gambol like $50.00 free play & two free buffets every Wednesday this month at one casino will draw us there $25.00 & two free buffets at another on Sundays might get us to go there. Perks are nice when gamboling regularly and NOT impacting retirement finances.

What are you going to do with your windfall?

I put in my piggy bank!

Did you have fun at the casino, how was the food?

Not much fun because I am not really into gambling or how these things work. The casino was noisy and bright; the food was mediocre. I opted for the chicken dinner (they only had two options this year - chicken or salmon - no vegan options) and you'd need a microscope to find it on the plate - also served with some gussied up string beans and rice pilaf. Preceded by a salad which I thought was the best part of the lunch. Dessert was chocolate cake with white icing - nothing fancy there, not even any sauce or garnish. I saw many cake plates going back to the kitchen looking untouched. There was a pitcher if ice water and one of unsweetened cold tea on the table to which folks could help themselves. Coffee was not offered until after the meal. My big gripe was that the waitress kept coming over to the table I was at and asking people if they could get their plate out of the way even while they were still eating. You couldn't even stop for a breath or they thought you were done eating. Just gave the whole luncheon a rushed feeling.

If it's only $10-$15, I think I'll gamble it. A free $15 for thirty minutes of anticipation and dopamine rush isn't too bad! In case I win a few times, I'm cashing out at $50.

We've each got $40 coupons and a free buffet at one of our favorite casinos....and the weather tomorrow is supposed to be chilly and rainy...so unless the storms are severe, we will be heading that way tomorrow. I've got a couple of slots I like to play...$2 a pull, so the coupon will give me 20 shots at a payout that usually varies between 12 to 14 hundred....I hit it earlier this year, so wish me luck. I noticed they also put in a $5 Wheel of Fortune machine with a jackpot of over 1.4 million...I think I'll take an extra 100, and give it a try.
