For cat owners... If you're furbaby suffers dry skin during the heating house season and scratches until it bleeds, the best medication is a topical applications of pure coconut oil.

Our wee furball suffered this on his cheek. He scratched until the fur was off a spot the size of a 10 pence. A week's worth of two applications a day with clean tissue and all is healed and fur begins to regrow. Just thought I'd give you an inexpensive treatment.

It's soothing, antibacterial, smells delicious and if they lick, it won't cause an allergic reaction. You can also use clear honey. 👍😸

Sorry for the late reply, but thanks for this! My cat grooms so incessantly that there are small chunks of fur missing from one of his front legs. He seems comfy and happy so I don't think there are any emotional issues. I'll try this.
