Ain't that the truth! For many years, we anchore our tree either to the wall or ceiling, not to protect it from kids, but cats!

We do the same thing, anchor our's to the ceiling, Shalimar. lol Our cat would take a leap and ride it to the floor. :eek1:

Misty, when I was in my twenties we had a Balinese, MajorFuzz, who behaved providing we saved him one of the lower branches of our giant pine Xmas tree as his "special Xmas space." lol. I can still see him, his fuzzy, cross-eyed, blue-tinged

face, smugly staring at me between the decorated branches. In thirteen years--after which he stopped "tree-sitting", only one ornament was broken. He did however continue to chew tinsel and spit it all over the floor, until I stopped adding it to the tree.

Presently, I have a caterrorist who eats wool socks, and totally destroyed the beautiful wool alpaca I had. Aaaagh!

Our flock is now too fat and old to climb the tree. But I do remember anchoring it to the ceiling for a few years, waaaay back putting it in a playpen so little people wouldn't push it over, now the dogs might grab an odd ornament but otherwise we're good.
