Chemotherapy

Chemo is evolving. I had a BIL who took one nose and said no more. Keep my pain down, let me die. Some chemo today does not make you severally ill and in itself threaten your life.
 

My daughter has an incurable cancer. She takes chemo twice a week for so many weeks, then takes a week off, then starts over again. She's had stem cell operation and her doctors are wanting her to have another stem-cell operation and she will have after Thanksgiving this year. she has to work to keep her insurance in force. She knows it will not cure her but maybe extend her life a bit. She usually has one day of discomfort after each chemo treatment but they are necessary but not much guarantee. It's a struggle for survival.

Oh, I am sorry Drifter. How difficult for your daughter and the family. Hugs.
 

My heart goes out to your daughter and all the family. It's so hard to be brave and courageous in the face of this ugly disease. I wish her well in her upcoming surgery. Keep us posted.

I'm so sorry Drifter. I can't imagine how difficult this must be for her.
 
I've had two close loved ones die after going through the traditional chemo and radiation treatments, I almost feel that they died from the treatment rather than the cancer. If I was in that condition I don't know what I would choose, maybe the chemo in conjunction with natural alternative treatments....or as Bea said, hospice and pain pills or suicide (assisted or not).
