Cherries are expensive at store

$6.99 a pound. When I checked out, my bag rang up over $15. No price was posted where the fruit was, I got it from the store web site. They almost had to call for a clean-up at the checkout. How's the price in your locale?

1 lb of organic is $6 a pound here 2 lb of red cherries is $9.98

Wegman’s is advertising sweet cherries at $4.99/pound.

The price probably has more to do with the cost of harvesting the cherries than the cherries themselves.

I haven't thought about fresh cherries in a long time. Haven't even seen any except for cherry pie or ice cream. I love cherries and going find some again.

They are normally $6.99 per bag but this week they are on sale for $3.99. They are excellent, sweet and juicy!

The old days sure were a lot of work on hot summer days but the rewards were well worth it on a cold winter day!

4.99/ lb for dark sweet cherries. A few weeks back for about a month they were on sale for 2.99, and one 3-day sale for 1.99. We ate a lot of cherries- they have been very good this year.

Last week La Bonita super market had a 2 day sale on Chelan Washington sweet cherries for $1.99 a lb. This week plums 2lb. for $1.00 or peaches 99 cents a lb. Cherry yogurt last week this week peach yogurt.

I can only eat no more than 5 cherries at one time, or I would get sugar high.

They were 2.97 a pound 2 weeks ago. Today, they're 3.97 a pound. Left without them.
