Chicago weather is the best.

I've noticed that storms tend to go to Chicago.

I asked Bing.

38 thunderstorm days per year.

26 snow days with at least 3 inches.

1 in 3 days has some rain or snow.

I lived in Chicago for approx. three years after I moved there from New York City. What impressed me most was the low temperature which made it impossible to walk a few blocks without a scarf and ear mugs due to the danger of frost bite. However, I liked the long transition climates that were neither summer nor winter.

Chicago is not my favorite city, except for its cooking. I will take San Diego for climate, but Charleston, South Carolina has them all beat for the best all around city. I have never been to a city where there were so many beautiful ladies. And I do mean "ladies" and not women, girls or hoochies.

The ladies in Charleston are very sophisticated, dressed very well, make-up and hair done very well and know how to get along with people without insulting anyone. I wished I would have found this city sooner in my life.

I spent half my life a hour from Chicago in Wisconsin. My sister still lives there and the weather has become much milder in the past 30 years. Northern Wisconsin is really a beautiful place. Chicago is too crowded for me.

Someone told me that western North Carolina is somewhat shielded from weather extremes. It is very beautiful, drove through once.

I grew up in Chicago, but left after high school. That was a long time ago, but the way I remember it, we had some really powerful thunderstorms.
