Jack Albertson was already a well established actor but this and his successful stand up comedy act made Freddie Prinze a small screen icon. Shame his wife petitioned the court for a divorce decree and kept him from his son and I believe that and not his Inability to handle success was the reason he took his own life.

RIP Freddie.

The show was a clone of 'All in the Family.i
Albertson got the 'meaty phrases', Prinze got the rebuttals.

I wish the show had lasted longer; i remember being shocked at Prinze's death: a good looking guy who had the world
by the tail.
