I googled this, and it appears to me true. The article said that the book did not receive good critical reviews, but was a big best seller. So apparently this book award is based on who sells the biggest volume of books, not
on anything to do with the book's merits.
Thanks rkunsaw. Interesting. I also just looked it up. Yes, it is true. He's published a series of children's books that are time travel adventures with exceptional Americans. There's "Brave Pilgrims", "The American Revolution", and "First Patriots", "The Presidency" about the early Presidents, and "The Star Spangled Banner". I think I read that they are pocket-sized hardbacks.
