China crying Australia is picking on them?

China apparently doesn't like Australia advocating an investigation into the origins of the virus. They apparently think they're being picked on. They described Australia as gum on the bottom of their shoe.

What China did or did not do shut down the world so I think an investigation is warranted.

yes WhatinThe most would agree with you....but.... what if they find that someone in China really was responsible for all this grief?... what might the world do, what way might President Trump jump?
how might you react?... might you blockade all things Chinese?... i mean if a TV made in your Country costs 800 and a Chinese one 500, but deep down you know the Chinese one is better?... might cost over-rule conscience? it could only be done by tarriffs and the Donald is well aware of this as is all world leaders

Our PM is no diplomat.
Of course Australia won't blockade Chinese goods because we need their trade more than they need ours.
Our budget, like every other country's is shot to pieces. China is a major buyer of our iron ore and to a lesser extent, high grade coal. We have an abundance of both but there are other sources if China wants to give us a smack.

75/% of what we have and buy comes from that place - its easy to say ban the stuff 'but many industries count on them
to supply goods world wide -I personally think they have questions to be answered for sure ' but knowing the Chinese
it will never be said , all countries need them to make their goods coz their cheap labour !!

It's not like the coronavirus came from Mars. It comes from a well known family of viruses. It has been present in animals, but had not yet crossed over into humans. Viruses mutate all the time. A mutation of the virus crossed the human immunity barrier, infecting humans in China. My own personal feeling is that the virus didn't know it was living in China, but that's just my opinion. While some see all kinds of evil intentioned Chinese machinations, it is really hard to fathom the benefit of a pandemic to the Chinese. If you have to have a demon, blame Mother Nature. She's the one, who allowed a virus to break out of animals, and infect humans.
And if China is to be blamed for not addressing their epidemic, explain why no nation has prevented the pandemic.

I think it started in a Chinese laboratory, and China, rather than tell the truth, tried to cover it up. And let it spread. And spread. China didn't shut down travel. China didn't close its borders. No one else knew about it until it was too late to stop it. So yes, China is to blame.

We need to bring manufacturing back inside our own countries. Especially pharmaceuticals.

I agree strongly here !

Australia received an embarrassing smackdown from a Chinese ambassador yesterday at a press conference organised by one of our mining magnates, one Andrew Forrest, known locally as Twiggy. He used his influence to acquire Chinese ventilators and the presser was to inform the public (and big note himself). Also present was the Federal Minister for Health. Twiggy also invited the Chinese Consul General. The Chinese ambassador blindsided the Health minister and let rip, threatening Australian industries.

Our gracious Foreign Minister and former Defence Minister, Marise Payne, is valiantly working to repair the damage caused by her male colleagues.

If China was totally innocent they would welcome an investigation, otherwise they are hiding the truth. The US should return manufacturing home. Prices will rise on some goods but that will put pressure on wages, and over time I believe it will balance out. As far as cheap labor goes, robots work cheaply and take no breaks.
