That was really fun.
Phew, now we're too knackered to go to war.
I've forgotten all about national anthems. Maybe people should ditch the guns and have a hoedown?

I like the Canadian anthem. I noticed they sing it without embellishment. I see a greater number of people in the arena singing it and treating it with respect. I'm also a hockey fan.

The French National Anthem would have been my 3rd favorite, if it was in English. But God Save the Queen/King is.

The Romanian National Anthem. It dominated the Montreal's 1976 Summer Olympics due to one gymnast, Nadia Comaneci. After accomplished all of this, she defected and disappeared from the sport. That was a weird decade in sports. Sorry!

Always fun to watch. Regarding the anthem, I prefer it in one language throughout, either all English or all French, but.,. There's a Bilingual version as well. What a song... Yes! LOL

I like the the Japanese National Anthem.... in the lyrics "Lush with moss."
Still sounds a bit British, you know.

Not a national anthem, but I always like the Florida state song. Ole Folks at Home, fortunately Florida changed the words a few years ago, the idea of old slaves longing to be back on the plantation just doesn't work any more.

I guess I like the German national anthem because my 5th grade band played this (Haydn) melody in our concert. I played snare drum. I can still picture those drum rolls every time I hear it. Had a great instructor but then she got married and quit and we got this cross old guy in 6th grade.
