Here's someone's comment where I found the song:
"Driving into work, 5am. Dark, I'm alone. I feel lost, I ask God in a prayer, please let me know that you're still with me, that I'm heading in the right direction. A message, a sign, anything..... I said Amen and when raised the volume in the radio, this song came on. I was moved beyond measure."

From the 60's...lyric says, "Gotta' have a friend in Jesus"

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote the poem “Christmas Bells” in 1863, during a bitter in American history - the Civil War. It tells of hearing Christmas bells, but despairs that "hate is strong and mocks the song of peace on earth, good will to men". Longfellow's poem was adapted into the Christmas carol “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day”, which concludes with the bells ringing out that "God is not dead, nor doth He sleep" and there will ultimately be "peace on earth, good will to men".
