When I was little we didn't have a fireplace, only a furnace. The things that go through a kid's head...like Santa would die from the fire in the furnace. I wished for a fireplace because there didn't have to be a fire in it, and Santa would be safe.

@GAlady I haven't been around a whole lot in the past few days so haven't seen all of your National Day posts Oops. Anyway, I hope you have a positively lovely Eve and Christmas DayYou're such a bright spot here

When my kids were little, a neighbor came to the front door dressed like/as Santa
And they were so surprised.
Of course, our boy had to question why he didn't use the chimney...I can't quite remember what "Santa" answered....but he accepted it.
