We're having pizza too. Funghi or Margarita. Every year we go to my sister. Everyone hates cooking, so we order pizza.I've been informed it will be focaccia pizza. Sound good to me.
'low carb pecan pie'...LOL!!!At this moment, the plan is.
Crumby scallops and cabbage salad on Christmas Eve.
Kielbasa, ham steak, pierogies with butter and onions on Christmas Day. I have the makings for a low carb pecan pie.
New Year’s Eve. will be assorted snacks and a Manhattan.
New Year’s Day I’m thinking Senate navy bean soup or beans ‘n’ greens.
The freezer and pantry are stuffed with all sorts of possibilities.
I’ve also been thinking about spinach lasagna, bagels with a schmear of cream cheese, quiche with spinach and artichokes, clam chowder, pancakes and sausage, pizza and Buffalo wings, lobster tails or stuffed colossal shrimp…
It all depends on my mood and how I’m feeling at the time.
Sugar free pecan pie made with sugar free maple flavored syrup and Splenda.'low carb pecan pie'...LOL!!!
It's nice having a wide selection of foods to choose from, I like it when that happens.
And, like you, I'm constantly writing down all these foods that sound good to me. I have scrap paper all over my computer room w/recipes to make that sounded good at one time or another.
My ex-husband (from the 70's) came yesterday with a big load of gifts for my son. I arranged them around our little tree and it makes our living room look so much more festive. Then I unpacked the big bag that was obviously food gifts and son and I and new-Hubs munched on it all last evening.View attachment 474379My son and I are having dinner with my ex-husband (from the '80s). We all three like one another, so it should be fun. Plus the cooks where he lives in a real nice senior housing facility are great! Don't know what we are having, but I am really looking forward to it.
Wow. I turned into Rudy while I was reading that.I will be alone for Christmas - as I am every year - so nothing too fancy. The plan is a salad, Italian bread, braciole (I think the French version is called roulade) and Orecchiette pasta. For dessert, a choice of my homemade panforte nero, cannoli cookies or chocolate rum balls along with homemade eggnog.
Come on over!Wow. I turned into Rudy while I was reading that.
