Classic album covers over the years

This one's not as well known as the traditional Quadrophenia cover (which I personally think is kind of boring)—and in fact isn't well known in general—but I love it. It encapsulates so much of what the story is about. And perhaps because I identify so much with Jimmy.

As a teen I could spend an hour in a record store just browsing the album covers.

I think they lost a valuable marketing tool by coming out with CD sized packaging.

I once bought all the Pure Prarie League albums just because of their covers with the old cowboy on them. For some 1000005991.jpgreason I wanted the set.

I don’t like any of that hippy crap, but when the 80’s got here, real music came back. I have some albums, but not all of the songs on an album are likable. Kiss was a good group, but they didn’t need the makeup. That had to take awhile to put on. I liked the song “Beth.”
I also saw an album cover from Janis Joplin. I like the songs “Cry, Baby” and “Piece of My Heart.”

Good variety here.

I thought this album cover looked so futuristic and ahead of it's time when the album was released. Now it brings back fond memories of my earlier days when I first started using computers.
