Just joking, well half joking. For some reason, Ford fitted the Mazda engine in my Mondeo model, which may explain why it only manages 18mpg.a Mondeo has that Engine ?.. OMG ..lol.![]()

I HAD a 57 Buick but what I REALLY, REALLY wanted was a 57 Chevy Impala!
Not a 56, not a 58. It had to be a 1957! but I never got it.
Has anyone owned a Triumph TR-3 (car not motorcycle)?Todays cars just don't have the class & style of the cars from our era.
Cars were bold with lots of chrome, tailfins, character, and they just looked cool.
Show pics if you got 'em
If any of them bring back memories you care to share, feel free
It looks like a Ford Popular.
Rode in one once!Has anyone owned a Triumph TR-3 (car not motorcycle)?
Had a couple of restored Stags and restored a Spitfire (horrible thing) OE.Has anyone owned a Triumph TR-3 (car not motorcycle)?
Very cool. The first car I can remember was our LaSalle. It was black and showed a lot of wear & tear but it ran. Mostly on oil I think. I remember both Mom & Dad filling the oil every time we went somewhere. The attachment shows the style we had but I don't have a photo of the actual car anymore. It was probably a 1935-40 yearLooks like maybe a '52' or there about.
Oh, sorry. I didn't realize there was a previous Italian Job. Not familiar at all with that one.Reckon you are confused with the 2003 remake Bob?
Oh man. That is way cool.
Beautiful car. I bet you wish you had that one again.Very cool. The first car I can remember was our LaSalle. It was black and showed a lot of wear & tear but it ran. Mostly on oil I think. Much, much, much better than the remake Bob.Oh, sorry. I didn't realize there was a previous Italian Job. Not familiar at all with that one.
I think the chevy is a '63', but they were so similar, and great cars. That roaster is absolutely stunning. What a show piece. The 1962 SS was always my favorite street machine. The styling was one if a kind at the time.

Hard to imagine, but you've seen both and I haven't so you would be a better judge. If I ever come across it, I will make it a point to watch it.Much, much, much better than the remake Bob.
Nope. windshield curve says 62.I think the chevy is a '63', but they were so similar, and great cars. That roaster is absolutely stunning. What a show piece.
32 Ford with a 6 carb chevy V8.Good grief, very nice but I cannot tell one USA car or truck from another, then in that period petrol/gas was near free over there. Saying that a Ford Pilot V8 could be in the top picture??
Oh, that's right. The Bel Air had two tail lights. Impala had 3. I was thinking that Impala changed from two to 3 in '63', but I must have been looking at the Bel Air instead.Nope. windshield curve says 62.![]()
I only got to drive one once, but I did drink some Thunderbird in the late 60's, does that count? In 1960, only the world's coolest guys drove Ford T-Birds.View attachment 296735
Oh, I love that '70' Olds and the color. That looks like a sweet machine. Great choice. This was my first car, the Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. I don't remember the year (1970 perhaps) but got it when I was 37. My car looked exactly like this one.

And how about the color on this one! It's a 1981 Cutlass Supreme.
