Classical Music

This one always knocks my socks off. It's the second movement of Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 21, and if it sounds familiar (to other than classical music lovers), it's because Neil Diamond "borrowed" the tune for Song Sung Blue! It's incredibly beautiful.

I loved this the first time I heard it way back when I was a teenager.
I just wait for every note from the piano with my eyes closed.

Really!..nice lookin fella...
I think it is a great video.....
It highlights the members of the orchestra and I really love that quiet spot at the end

p.s. you can see all the bass players here

It’s an excellent video. I really like how the individual musicians are highlighted throughout the performance. They are all so good. It’s not the same bass player. They look similar but that’s about it.
Thanks Mizmo

A lot of rock music is based on classical pieces. Sometimes rock will rock up classical music. I love rock and classical music. When they merge it is amazing.

Take Pachelbel's "Canon in D", there are many rock songs based on this piece of music.
Two examples are:
"Hook" by Blues Traveler
"Memories" by Maroon 5

There is no limit to being moved listening to music and no limit to discovery in music.
It's interesting about rock music based on classical pieces. Keep in mind, not all the "classical pieces" were written during the classical era. There were baroque pieces (Corellia, etc), classical pieces (Mozart, etc), and romantic era (Brahms, etc) pieces that have been lumped together as classical. Just a thought....

WOW Mozart fans! I might watch Amadeus movie later.
I Like YoYo Ma too
And "The War of 1812", a.k.a 1812 Overture by Tchaikovsky.

The cannons at the end were so loud ,they damaged a roof of a theater once in NJ years ago.

Unfortunately I haven't bought the No add feature on UTube so I skipped the ad at beginning but ANOTHER Ad popped up for mere seconds-in the middle of it There are many verions of this on the web.

It gets LOUD but some of you, like me, might be Led Zeppliners and we Like it LOUD!

1973 The great Robert Plant and Jimmie Page, and band- Madison Square Gardens.
"Black Dog"
