Cluster bombs sold to Saudis by US used on civilians in Yemen!

"ou spent forty years making bombs to kill people and to get a pension. That's what you did."

That's what I did alight,, no doubt about it.

And you paid me to do it.

"So glorious."

Nothing glorious about war. It's dirty, degrading and disgusting, and makes us worse than animals, who rarely fight to the death.

Nothing glorious about names not being answered when the class register is called.

Nothing glorious about a man stuffing in a ditch stuffing grey green n intestine back into his abdominal cavity while his life's blood drains into the mud.

Nothing glorious about a blood stained doll lying in the dust.

A dirty job, probably none dirtier, but somebody has to do it if the world is not to sink into anarchy..

Thank God for today's young men and women, who have picked up the torch.

I deal with the ones who come home, broken by their war experiences. I certainly am no proponent of war, but I am not a Pontius Pilate wannabe either--I work in the trenches, and if my taxes are spent on perpetuating the military industrial complex, it is in spite of me, rather than because of me.

'if my taxes are spent on perpetuating the military industrial complex, it is in spite of me, rather than because of me.'

My thoughts exactly Shalimar.

And if women and children die from my activities, it is in spite of my lifetime efforts, not because of them.

Perhaps you would prefer your taxes to be spent on the thousands of extra American widows and orphans created in a war extended by years because Harry Truman would not step up to the pale?
