Colombia plane crash: Four children found alive in Amazon after 40 days

Hmmm...I read this and thought how wonderful. Others sound a little suspicious.

The story I read earlier had a photo of the wrecked plane. Would seeing that make a difference?

Maybe, but the plane was found 2 weeks after the crash without the kids. It was another 3 weeks or so before the kids were found.
Yes, I realize that. It seems normal to me that after waiting so long the kids would try to get out on their own. It could very well be that there is something more behind this. I just hadn't thought that way. The three adults were found dead in the plane by the army.

It seems normal to me that indigenous kids that are used to living close to nature would know a lot more about survival in a jungle than first world kids. If this had been kids from an American city I wouldn't believe it.

But, you could be right. I can be a sucker for a good story.

I think it probably is true, we just don't know all the facts yet. Most indigenous people live at the edge of food deprivation, even adults in a tribe. I suspect the kids had some source of food other than what could be hunted and gathered without help. Could be there was a good stash of food on the plane they took with them, just a guess.

When the full story is known I believe it will still be a good, even great story, just more complete. Probably as good as the Uruguayan rugby team's survival in the Andes, 1972.
