Comedian Louie Anderson dies...had blood cancer

Like many great comedians, Louie Anderson was able to make a career from the pain and sadness he experienced in his own life.

"You have to be funny about it and honest about it. You can't leave yourself out of that mix. You have to be honest enough to say, I'm that messed-up one in the family." - Louie Anderson

"I would trade everything I have to have had a happier childhood." - Louie Anderson

We had a stand up routine of his on a VHS tape that we watched over and over. In that routine he talks about his strict, angry father, who all his friends were afraid of, and his sweet, long suffering mother. He recently said he just thought of his mother in order to play his character in 'Baskets."

So sad, he was a long time favorite.

Saw a picture of him that looked recent and he did not look good at all. Super pale

Not a reflection on their talents and character but the last 2 celebs that passed seemed 'weighty' over the span of their careers to say the least and one must wonder if their body weight helped contribute to or facilitate their demise. Hate to bring it up but both also seem to sweat alot.

That being said their talents and contributions shouldn't be forgotten.

Again RIP
