Comic dies during act on stage in England

reminds me of the death of that great British comedian Tommy Cooper - he had a heart attack and fell backwards through the curtains and just his boots were sticking out. everyone thought it was just tommy fooling about as usual

Well, way to damn early for sure.....but he did it right. Doing what he liked to do, with a glass of beer in his hand , and wham ! It's over.

May he rest in peace.

so sad to hear he died on stage - like so many before him have done ' rest in peace ............

This reminds of the story about Jackie Wilson. Jackie Wilson was onstage singing his hit song, “Lonely Teardrops” when he suddenly grabbed his heart while singing the line, “.....my heart is burning.....”. Members of the audience thought it was part of the act and they applauded him.

After lying on the stage for a few seconds, it became apparent that he wasn’t going to be getting back up.

I saw Jackie perform twice in my lifetime. He was magnetic, meaning that he had a way of drawing you to him. A great entertainer with a very hard baritone voice. He was also a very nice man. I actually was able to meet and speak with him once. I had him on my flight going to Miami where he was going to be performing later that evening. He actually approached me and wanted to wish me to have a good flight. Long story short; he took my name and left me two tickets to his show, which my First Officer and I really enjoyed.

Sometimes, it’s good to be the Captain.

PVC the thread attachment doesn't seem to relate to your story at all??

My apologies. I decided to come back and add a pic and then realized I had put in the wrong URL and then fixed it. It's not the first time I've done it either. Sigh!

This is very sad and only at 60 years of age. I can't imagine the audience and how they reacted once they realized this was not staged and was real.
