I've been listening to her music all of my life, and watching her on all of the TV music shows.
When I was living in NYC, and it got around vacation time in July, I'd start singing out real loud:
"V-A-C-A, TION, in the summertime. We're on vacation!"

She had a totally different sound from any other female singer. Thank you Connie for of that wonderful music that you gave us.

You're thinking of Anne Francis (actress who died in 2011). She was in both movies you mentioned.

Connie Francis was in a couple teen movies for instance, Where The Boys Are.
