Watergate was a conspiracy and was prosecuted on that basis. The others are all speculation, although I understand why people aren't satisfied with the explanation for the JFK assassination. People on the left, in particular, don't like the idea that JFK was murdered by a Marxist who had at one point defected to Russia.

I didn't imagine it, I borrowed it. But after the assassination I do remember people going on about how somehow the climate of right wing hate in Texas killed Kennedy, even though he was (apparently) killed by a disgruntled Marxist loser.

I prefer to assign probabilities to theories rather make a snap true/false judgement. It can sometimes take time for truth to come out when buried. In conjunction with that, I am always suspicious of those who push a theory or belief too hard.
