Hey guys,

I made a thread about vision changes a few days ago, and everyone talked about how the sharpness of their vision went down. What about your color-distinction? Can you read all colors against all colors that you used to, when you were younger?

I know I have troubles with it!

For example, can you clearly see and read this with no problem at all?

My vision is no where as good as it was years ago. I can only read something with my reading glasses on. I was just told I need cataract surgery but we have to wait because of my AC1 numbers and my thyroid numbers. I can't wait to have it done.

At 80 my eyes are good. My distance and reading lens have not changed in over 10 yrs. And I have not been to an eye doctor in about 8 yrs. Yep....

I was told about 20 yrs ago at about 60 I had cataracts forming and I got busy with eye supplements and they WORK.

Grape Seed Extract (taking this now in my 24th yr)
Vit C (2-3K most days)
Lutein softgel daily, usually at least 10mg
Bilberry when I feel like it.
Drum Roll: Crystalline Homeopathic Eye Drops (about 2 yrs) to prevent cataracts

Similasan for Dry Eyes (homeopathic drops, used for years)

I see good, clear and colors are just as good as ever.

And I don't even go to the mail box without Sunglasses = these are critical I believe.

My pass time is not going to doctors and I pride myself on staying away from them when I can.

Just about everyone around me has had "cat" surgery and I avoid all surgeries if I can. My neighbor is living with a botched "cat" surgery from Kaiser and she's a mess for a year with this. Long ugly story and other eye is going.

I've talked to her until I'm blue in the face about supplements and Sunglasses but my words have pretty gone on deaf ears. I hope she will save her eyes. Hope she finds a new doctor to help save them.

I can still see colors okay, but sometimes I have a disagreement with my husband, he says something is brown and I say it's gray for example.
