I saw this story on the Steve Harvey show. Interesting, but unfortunately not surprising. After the first video there are more discussions about race with audience participation.

Thank you for speaking out. Those two children are very lucky to have such fine parents.
 

Corey is clearly such a sweetheart! How could anybody be dumb enough (and cruel enough) to call the cops on him for just doing his job?

Racism is so entrenched with at least some people in this society that I have to wonder if it will ever end.
 
ABCs John Quiones (What Would You Do?) came out later and told Steve they staged several similar scenes with actors. They showed one clip but I'm not sure of air date.
 
I get angry when hearing these stories, Corey wasn't hurting or beating the children, which would have been cause to contact the authorities. This is clearly a case of racial profiling and racial bias. That woman who reported him to the police and started following them was way out of line and should have minded her own business. She obviously just wanted to get him in trouble because of his race.

People like that, IMO, should be punished somehow for the distress they cause to the families involved and for the insult and slanderous allegations of the innocent well respected man who was just going about his daily business. It's all shameful to me, and I know things like this happen all the time, in some states more than others.
 
It is an ugly experience for the children AC, but it's a good early lesson for them to be aware of, that not everyone looks at each other in the same light. Hopefully things will get better over time, but it's not looking very hopeful. :(
